Krishiv Jain: According to Krishiv, who uses public transport on a daily basis. Safety and maintenance is again a major concern. Although availability and affordability is a plus point. According to him, the government has taken no initiatives for students with regards to public transport. |
Navya Sharma: She prefers taking the bus because it is feasible and cheap. She is satisfied by the services provided by the government. A few struggles that she faces are; In autos and in taxis the fares are high and the metros and trains are very over crowded. She travels by public transport once a week and does not feel the government is providing the students with enough transport safety. |

When I got to know that the entire student exchange program was going to happen on the online platform because of the ongoing pandemic, I was disappointed and was not so excited about it. But as soon as I was shortlisted in my group, everything changed. I met these four amazing people- Ania, Ishna, Siddharth, and Taarinie and of course our mentor- Ms. Ankita Dhopte miss. With their support and cooperation, this entire experience was surreal and interesting. I got to know about my transport system and how does it work in-depth, other people’s perception and a lot more. It was not only about India but also about the Netherlands. Our counterparts helped us to know about their country as well. And this indeed led to the differentiation and comparison of the entire transport system. Working in this programme was super fun, and it helped me a lot, not only knowledge-wise but also friendship wise. Thank you Eumind Group for this surreal experience. - Shria Bookseller, Group Leader My experience working was unforgettable and memorable. The day I came to know that I had been accepted into the EUMIND program was one of the most memorable moments of last year. This program not only helped me learn new things about my country and its transport system, but also helped me make new friends who will always be with me. Although there was no physical exchange this year, the cultural exchange program was the best it could have ever been and I'm taking a lot of memories with me this time. Socializing with the dutch students was also great and it was a spectacular opportunity to talk to them and get to know them. Knowing my team members, Shria, Ania, Siddharth and Taarinie has helped me cope through difficult times too. This exchange program has also helped me gain more confidence, learn how to be persuasive, communicate with people and learn about the importance of deadlines. Lastly, I would like to Express my eternal gratitude towards our teachers in-charge, Ms. Rachna, Ms. Minoo, Ms. Latha and our group mentor, Ms. Ankita to present me with the opportunity to be a part of something so surreal. - Ishna Deshmukh, Group Member |
Through this project I learnt the importance of time management and working as a team. Working with my group helped me improve my leadership skills and more importantly my communication skills. It enabled me to come out of my comfort zone and interact with new people who i didn’t know at all. this project also helped me improve as an individual as it gave me a life time exposure. i learnt a lot by interacting with people from a whole different country and culture. - Ania Ashar, Group Member My experience with Eumind has been great and I have learnt a lot. working with my team has helped improve my teamwork skills and provided me with a greater understanding on how to be cooperative and finish work in a short amount of time. I have made new friends both in India as well as Netherlands, and have gained a lot of knowledge on the lives of the people in the Netherlands. I am very grateful to have been given this opportunity to grow as a person and learn new things. I discovered a lot more about the Indian transportation system with the help of the surveys as interviews that we conducted. although we could not meet in real life, talking over video calls with the team in Netherlands was great and provided a lot of insight into their lives. we worked as a team and got to know each other despite the pandemic and the physical limitations, which was hard, but fun. - Taarinie Gutumurthy, Group Member My experience with Eumind has been great. I made new friends both from India and the Netherlands and learnt a lot along the way. It helped me work on my teamwork and improved my social skills. Despite being unable to meet up physically the experience was amazing even with video calls. Throughout the project I have gained much information which I did not know in the first place. - Siddharth Nair, Group Member |
